As everyone is aware, it's in the Freesmeyer blood to love the mountains. All of the Freesmeyer family, back to my dad's parents, enjoy taking in the breath taking view of the Rocky Mountains. Of course, my mom and dad don't let a year go by without taking at least one trip west. I am always jealous of the many pictures and stories I've heard. Well after waiting almost 9 years I finally got to enjoy the same view. Lacy, the kids, and I loaded up in the truck, hooked a 36 ft. gooseneck trailer behind us and hauled a Bale Band-it to a couple farm shows. It just so happened the first show was in Greeley, CO (only and hour drive from Estes Park)! So, after unhooking the trailer we took the beautiful drive up Big Thompson Canyon. It was snowing on us and very cloudy. But once we got to Estes, it was blue sky and gorgeous. My kids had never seen the mountains and they all loved it. They even got to see elk along the road. No matter how many times I see the mountains, I am in awe of the Father's power.
