Fun in the Snow!!

We awoke this morning to the sight of snow on the ground. The kids have been looking forward to this since the weather turned cool. It was a heavy, wet snow 1 or 2 inches deep. When you're little, any snow is a big deal. Shortly after breakfast was over they bundled up and headed out. I had them dressed so well they could have rolled down the hill without a sled! :) Oh well, that's what mom's are for, right? Anyway, here's some pictures of the fun.

Lovin' every minute.

Justin doesn't care about it, yet.

Also, a big shout out to my mom and dad. They are celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary today. I'm sure they are reflecting back on that day of bliss and the blizzard that came that day. I mean the weather! :)

More Birthday Parties

We are now in November and more birthdays are upon us. Last weekend, my mom hosted a birthday dinner for my dad and Alana. Dad's was on the second and Alana's was on the fifth. My mom cooked ham and beans, cornbread, and mashed potatoes. This was mine and David's favorite while at home. Of course she let Alana pick out which character she wanted on her cake. Alana chose Finding Nemo. (Mom has the pictures of this, so I'll post it later) Mom's house was full once again with D. & A., mom and dad, Lacy and I, my Gma Freesmeyer and her husband, and all 5 of the little ones. The weather was beautiful with temps in the 70s. We were able to take the kids outside and sit in lawn chairs for a while.

On Thursday, I hosted a party with Lacy's family. I baked cupcakes and decorated them with chocolate icing and sprinkles. Alana picked out the icing and sprinkles. She helped decorate a couple of them.

She's getting the hang of opening presents. She used to be very cautious and careful about tearing the paper, but she's figuring out how to rip into them.

Here are some pictures of the evening.

Where there is food, there is Justin!

I caught Ethan with a mouth full.
